Market bistro was the perfect dinner stop after a cold hike. Soup of the day was a creamy tomato which was absolutely fantastic.... The French onion soup was also very good, and both paired really nicely with a baguette. We finished off dinner with chocolatecake and ice cream. The food was great! We looooved the cheeseboard, nothing negative to say about it! We ordered the duck confit, pizza margherita... and the french onion soup. The duck was extremely good, and the pizza was great as well. The soup was slightly too salty, but itwas not bad. For dessert, we had the lemon pie and tiramisu. This restaurant has to be one of the best hidden gems in Canmore. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked simply amazing.... The service was wonderful too. Somethings to try on the menu are the meatball appetizer, the chicken penne, and the tiramisu. Read more
As I said to the people at the restaurant, I have moved 10 years ago to Canada from Italy and their menu made me feel at home.... Their carpaccio was outstanding, same for the mussels. I have not tried their pizza because I was too busy with the rest, so Ileft that to the kids. I also had a slice of lemon pie and it was made with real lemons. I also tried the chocolate cake and itwas perfect too, not too sweet and perfectly warm. It was Sunday and they had a small and very busy crew working, so don'texpect to go in and get your food as fast as any fast food. That is a REAL restaurant and quality needs time. Delicious!! Quaint peaceful restaurant with unique delicious options. Great service. We started with the appetizer special... burrata. For main course I had the Caesar salad with salmon.
