Although the price was fine for a steakhouse, the service was way too slow and the steaks were overcooked for the desired cook I... had requested. In addition, the food was way too under seasoned...and required copious amounts of salt. Overall, a play to try,but not a place to come again. Read more
As a foodie and someone who has worked in various upscale establishments in the hospitality industry, this place did not... disappoint. Food, service and atmosphere was just what we needed for our last day visiting Canmore. We ordered the oysters,risotto, jumbo prawns and the tenderloin- all were fantastic. The palette cleanser after our appetizer was a nice added touch.Hats off to the kitchen staff who obviously put love into the food and to our server who was attentive and knowledgeable. Amazing food in a beautiful location pretty much sums up our experience. We were on the last leg of our banff trip and decided... to get a nice meal before we left. Rustica was a great note to end off of. We ordered the Bison rib eye and the Elktomahawk. Both were cooked beautifully and tasted wonderful especially with the garlic mash and mixed vegetables. My husband and I were on our way to Banff when we asked a Canmore friend about where we should eat. She suggested Rustica and I... am SO happy we went there! It was our wedding anniversary and we haven't been away (just the two of us) for over a decade. Ihad the tenderloin and my husband had the seafood risotta (part of a special menu for May). Generous portions, outstandingflavour, and beautiful presentation. The ambience is beautiful and the views were stunning. Our waitress was wonderful and I'msorry I didn't catch her name, but she was lovely. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the chef for preparing such amemorable meal. Read more
