Visited for the first time in many years (after other positive experiences). After being seated we were told it was pasta... frenzy where any pasta dish was $12.99. We had 2 mains, shared 2 starters and a dessert for under $60! They bring out thickfocaccia style bread to dip in oils to start. We shared a started caesar salad and calamari. The calamari was the star of thenight- very tender, crispy and quite large. I had the Alla Con Chipotle (chipotle peppers, pesto, red peppers, sun-driedtomatoes, spicy sauce and substituted the chicken for the inhouse Italian sausage). The sausage was great but thought therecould have been more sun-dried tomatoes and the sauce more spicy (but I like heat). My wife had the Sicilian (linguini, currysausage, mushrooms, Italian sausage and onions). She also liked the sausage, found it to be too spicy (she doesn't handle heatwell) but enjoyed it overall. We took our Tiramisu to go as we were super full. We both found it a bit too soggy for our likingbut had a good flavor. Service was really good. Read more
Absolutely the best pasta in town!! Been around for at least 20yrs even before we got married and had any kids... fast forward,... and we're now enjoying the experience with our kids. The pasta dishes are delicious!!!. Homemade pasta, with some out of thisworld pasta sauces... to die for!!.. The friendly service and homie atmosphere makes this place a perfect 10/10.. Read more
The lineup was long when we got here, but we were sitted quickly, around 10 minutes. It was our first time here and they did not... disappoint. We ordered calamari to start which was amazing! Best calamari I've had so far. Im happy they also have acomplimentary bread to go with our orders. The pasta we ordered tasted delicious as well. Nothing amazing but satisfied ourcraving for some pasta that evening. Our server was okay as he got us what we usually asked him. But more than a couple oftimes, he doesnt respond to my requests and so Im not sure if he heard us or not. Other than that, we are still satisfied withthe food we ate. What?s happened??? We?ve ordered from here multiple times in the past but our order today was terrible. Sadly, it seems to line... up with other negative reviews which also seem to have been take out orders. The lasagna was awful (chef boyardee from a can asmy wife described it) and it looked like they threw on a slice of cheddar cheese on the top. It did not resemble lasagna at all.The ravioli was supposed to be baked with cheese (as we paid extra) but it was like they just stuck it under the broiler for afew seconds. The taste was just ok. In addition, they completed missed giving the delivery driver a bag as we were missing allof our appetizers as well. Maybe a blessing in disguise. There are a LOT of other options out there and this will likely be ourlast order sadly. This place will be out of business if they don?t make some changes quickly. Quite possibly the worst food I?ve had in Calgary. The restaurant is in shambles. The floor is filthy, dated decor and is... littered with fruit flies. The pasta is worse than a can of chef Boyardee. Our server was alright but made a comment on how hewasn?t ?up? to serve another table when we came in. Definitely won?t be returning. Read more
