This place is a real neighbourhood gem. I love the personal touches of the decor, all the memorabilia I can only guess is from... the owners childhood/family. I wish I had time to really take a good look at it all. The service was friendly. The portionshere are large, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. I absolutely loved the housemade cheese. If I recallcorrectly the gentleman said it's called Kajmak. Oh & the bread that came with the Chevapi dish was so light & fluffy. If I hadone critique that would be the cabbage salad. I usually love the cabbage salad, but this one I found a little too vinegary formy liking. Tenen is a relatively small space but has decorations and photos all over the walls, so it feels cozy inside. A very European... vibe of course. It's a good idea to call in and reserve before coming because it gets busy. The meals are huge and hardy. Definitely a place for meat lovers. Our order came out quickly, especially for the day we came in, which was labour day Monday.Our servers were really friendly, offered great suggestions on how we can share our meals, or how to order separately, and evenoffered us a little Rakia drink to have with our dessert, on the house! Love it if you like a little more oily food???????? A large and tasty portion that you will enjoy every part of that. The... waitress was a great lady who laugh and help you to order the proper one even if she has to stop you ???? Cost was ok Theambiance was the same as a European local restaurant, cozy and warm. This is a real cozy home like authentic Serbian restaurant. Really comfortable and the food was superb. All 4 of us enjoyed the... food. One of us wasn't into the fried smelt but I think that's a personal choice. I appreciate they left us to enjoy, chat anddine without checking in on us too often as many other restaurants seem to do.
