Ordered takeout at 6:15, they told me it?ll be ready at 6:30. I arrive at 6:30, paid for my order and was told it?ll be another... few minutes. I sit down and waited for 20 minutes and finally had enough and asked about my order. They haven?t moved it to thecooking queue. So ordering ahead is a huge waste of time. The kid behind the counter moves it to the cook order and tells meit?ll be a few minutes and no apology. 7:30 I get my food. The batter doesn?t stay on the fish, it cold and soggy. The service here is excellent, they really make you feel welcome. What's also amazing is their all you can eat Fish and chips... that comes with a bottomless pop for only $14.95. Sure, the fish and chips are on the greasier side and the batter is thickerstyle but it's $14.95 which is a great deal for the quantity of food you get. It's essentially a gift and the taste is stillgood overall. And they really give you as much fish and chips as you want and make sure you are full. Arguably, one of the best Fish and Chips in the lower mainland. We chose the cod (hailbut also an option), as, when prepared... properly, it is mild and tender, and pairs well with the coating. The fish was firm, flaky and succulent. The breaded coatingwas not overly oily; the chips were a bit less crispy on the outside than I prefer, but fluffy on the inside, and cooked rightthrough.
