The hotel itself was not noteworthy. there are lots of archive photos on the walls, which is neat. It was clean and quiet with... a few exceptions; there were signs of vandalism throughout the hotel from guests, I assume. The staff were friendly but did notknow the surrounding Brandon area. I asked about the transit system and where to find postcards. The staff did not know where tofind postcards or a bus schedule, so we explored independently. I got my information about Brandon from the airport and tourismcenter. The restaurant was not great; the food was overcooked. The food at the conference did not accommodate my allergy at all,even though I specifically told the organizers ahead of time that I can not eat onions. The experience was immediately soured. Very poor communication in this place. Charged my card and was rude when I told her our corporate office called them to explain... this, all our charges for the rooms will be on our corporate card. I figured they would put just a incidentals charge on, butno they put all room and taxes on the card. They maxed out my credit card, I had to borrow money from my colleague so I couldeat, how embarrassing!!! And they had the corporate card number right there. Corporate office called them a few times to ensurethis and they can't follow directions, or check with a manager before they inconvenience a guest. Not impressed that the chargeis still on my card! Room was dirty, one of the ps4 games they gave us didn't even work. Cable went out and made very little effort to fix the... situation then gave us a hard time when checking out befor eventually giving a discount. Read more
