My first visit to a Lone Star Texas Grill. Ordered a Texas Chicken Sandwich with a side of curly fries for a lunch. It took 30... minutes for our lunch to be served... -2 Stars. The chicken was overcooked, hard as rock on the outside, dry as cured meat onthe inside. The curly fries were equally overcooked and although edible, not enjoyable. -4 stars. The atmosphere was essentiallythe same as any other restaurant with very little that would have to be removed if it were to become a Kelseys or ShoelessJoe's. -3 stars. Read more
My daughter and I along with my granddaughter went tonight for dinner. Venom was our server and he was amazing. He was... friendly, engaging and polite. There was one little hiccup with my granddaughter's meal which was taken care of immediately. Themanager (I assume) came to our table to see how everything was. Probably good for other food, but not recommended for Mexican. Curly fries were great. Chimi was deep fried which should have... meant crispy on outside but they put lots of stuff including cheese on top of all that crispy goodness and make it rubbery. Iasked for it to be crispy with everything on the side and they still melted cheese all over it in microwave probably since itwas no longer crispy. Wait staff was excellent and offered to get me another which I declined. That aside, the filling wasgenerous and good. Just not to our taste for Mexican. You can decide for yourself! Read more
This review is mixed due to the wait for our meal, not the service received from the server. We were seated right away, drink... order was quick, and our order was promptly taken. Then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. Our server "Trouble 338"checked on us several times and apologized for the delay. It took an hour for most of our party's food to arrive. Add another 10minutes for the last person's food to make it to the table. Again the server was great. At the end, she handed me the bill witha 25% discount for the wait. Not sure what caused the delays in the kitchen. Maybe it was short staffed, but the restaurantwasn't that busy for our visit. The server made the difference here by providing great customer service.
