We stopped here for a feast after a long day of hiking. It's a pretty casual crowd with nice ambiance. For the apps, the... spanakopita was the highlight for me -- definitely get it! Others were pretty average, but still tasty. Lambs dishes aresupposedly their specialites here. The lamb chops were super tender, the lemon potatoes were flavorful and delicious, and thefeta dip was an excellent compliment for both. This was a very solid plate. The linguine dish wasn't as creamy as expected, butit had a generous amount of seafood. The chicken dish had good flavor, but was another average dish. I enjoyed the baklava tofinish things off. We definitely left Balkan with full stomachs and satisfied appetites. Read more
Great recommendation from a local. So glad we stopped by! Great atmosphere. Very clean. Friendly staff. Our waiter/bartender... Cameron was extremely helpful and personable. We entered this restaurant and it had a beautiful vibe of a Greek environment with elegant decoration. This was the best Greek... food I have had in all of Canada with fresh veggies and on order made meat. Every single item had a different and exquisitetaste which the flavor bursts into your mouth. Try this out if you are in banff and our host Scott made it all better with hisamazing personality. Read more

The food was great and delicious. Really enjoyed the appetizers mussels and calamari. Needed more bread to dip into the tomatoe... base sauce it was that good. We had two plates that exchanged for rice as a side. However the rice was hard which wasdisappointing. Other than that everything was great. Read more
